Biography and rights-free head shot
I'm a journalist, author and film-maker. After 15 years in broadcast news I decided to stop censoring myself and take part in the struggle against fascism. That's what it is.
In April 2016 I went freelance. I was consultant, main unit on the movie Jason Bourne (2016). I made my directing debut in the short fictional movie Astoria (2016). My play Party Animals, co-written with James Quinn, was performed at JB Shorts, Manchester, 2016. My play Divine Chaos of Starry Things was staged at the White Bear Theatre 2017). I devised and presented the televised stage work Why It's Kicking Off Everywhere at the Young Vic Theatre 2017.
I have made regular appearances on TV and radio as an analyst and commentator focusing on Trump, Brexit, the Corbyn phenomenon and the economics of social justice.
My next project is a book called Clear Bright Future: a radical defence of the human being, which is a defence of radical humanism in the face of artificial intelligence and algorithmic control. It is due out in May 2019.
